IKAT is a method of patterning cloth by tying bunches of thread together in certain places before the thread is dyed. The parts of the thread which are to remain un-dyed are reserved by tying them tightly with material that resists the absorption of the dye. Tenun Ikat s made by a traditional machine called Mesin Tenun (woven). Due to a slight bleeding of the dyes, patterns created by this technique have a character of softness and an unusual effect which blends with the fabric texture. Generally sarong dimension is 180 cm x 110 cm. It is made from Rayon. This sarong well known in batik. To make a Stamp Sarong we are using wood stamp and metal stamp, all are hand made, and traditionally stamped. Print Sarong here are using traditional print.
